COVID 19 Procedure Update
Dear North Bedford Family,
As I mentioned yesterday when we were together, the State Covid-19 health regulations for churches under 250 in attendance have changed. As of two weeks ago, our Governor’s office reached an agreement out of court that effectively removed all regulations for churches up to that size limit. The individual mask mandate (Executive Order 63) remains in place as an individual responsibility. I have personally confirmed these details with the City of Lynchburg Health Department.
In response to the end of these regulations, we will reopen all the pews in three of the four sections in the sanctuary, effective immediately. The center section on the organ side will continue to be marked for social distancing, with every other pew closed for seating. This is specifically to accommodate those within our congregation who are sensitive to a need for continued social distance. Also, we will no longer be live streaming the service into the Fellowship Hall, and happily invite everyone who was participating in our worship service there, to join the rest of our church family in the sanctuary. As always, there are masks available at every entrance and no-touch hand sanitizing stations placed around the building.
We will also be reopening our nursery, beginning this Sunday Oct. 11 for children birth to 3 years old!
The radio broadcast on channel 90.5, for those listening in the parking lot, will continue.
I have to tell you that our Deacons and I have earnestly sought the Lord’s guidance and wisdom in these decisions. Our desire is to do just what He would have us do, providing the protection and peace of mind that we need as well as the fellowship and togetherness that we as a church family need.
I am very much looking forward to having more of us together in the sanctuary this Sunday!
“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity!” Psalm 133:1
Confidently trusting Him,
