Cancelled – Family Dinner and Wednesday Evening Prayer Meeting

Most of the roads around the church were plowed yesterday. Cottontown and Perrowville Rds are mostly clear. Coffee Rd was plowed, but is not clear. It is really icy in some stretches of road, especially in the curves and on the hills, of which there are many on that road.
Work was begun clearing our church parking lot by a kind neighbor of our church.
It will be finished on Wednesday morning by another friend with a large tractor who lives on Cottontown.
Coming out for dinner and Bible study seems too dangerous to chance – especially since it would be after dark in sub-freezing temps.
We will cancel Wednesday evening activities, but hopefully be ready to get back together on Sunday morning!
         “He sends forth His command to the earth;
His word runs very swiftly.
He gives snow like wool;
He scatters the frost like ashes.
He casts forth His ice as fragments;
Who can stand before His cold?
He sends forth His word and melts them”      Psalm 147:15-18a
The snow, frost, ice, cold and melt obey the command of our God.
Our lives are not at the mercy of random environmental factors – our God is firmly in control and that is good reason to trust and praise Him!
